My MBA from The Rotterdam School of Management / Erasmus University paved the way for a truly international career. I have lived in three countries and traveled extensively.
Founded in 2009 (and named after a complex object with many sides!) Decahedralist Consulting is my company delivering future-focused innovation through consulting, senior interim management, strategic planning, market research, startup advisory, and XR evangelism.
As a consultant I partner with Fortune 200 clients to develop cutting-edge research, competitive analysis and business strategy.
As interim senior manager I lead discrete strategic initiatives (6 weeks to 6 months) and temporarily “drop in” to steward global matrixed teams in client organizations, guiding change efforts & steering organizations through digital transformation.
Assessing emerging technologies has been an integral part of my entire professional history, and I’ve been tracking virtual reality (n mixed reality) and its impact since the early 2000s.
In 2017 this interest morphed into focus and then active evangelism in 2019 when I catapulted onto the public XR stage with a TEDx talk on the impact of social VR on global communities and by co-authoring a book with industry luminaries, titled “The Handbook of Research on the Global Impacts of Immersive Media”. Since then I’ve become a regular speaker / moderator at conferences such as AWE, VRTO, the IEEE, and a multitude of podcasts.
I am honored to serve as a board member at the Virtual World Society, a global network of pioneers, developers, resources, events and organizations that are committed to advancing the power of virtual worlds for the good of society.
I’m currently using my experience to give back: actively advising spatial computing startups as a mentor at the RLab Accelerator (which focuses on early stage immersive tech startups), backed by Super Ventures, Philly Startup Leaders and most recently Baruch College where I’m a student advisor for the Management Consulting classes.
